Samuel John "Sam" Golbach^[1] (born: November 27, 1996 [age 27]) and Cole Robert "Colby" Brock^[2] (born: January 2, 1997 [age 27]), better known online as Sam and Colby, are an American YouTubeexploration and comedy duo that started their career on vine. They now are known as some of the most famous youtubers in the Ghost Haunting category.

Before YouTube[]

Sam and Colby are from Overland Park, Kansas.^[3] They attended Blue Valley High School^[4] and often made videos on an app called Vine. Their most famous vines were the two part "Following Fat People" series, as well as their "Public Disturbance" series. On YouTube, they have several compilations of their vines, and they had over 1.6 million followers. Their last vine was uploaded on October 27, 2016, 3 months before the app shut down.

Life on YouTube[]

Sam and Colby created their channel on October 28, 2014 and uploaded their first video on November 13, 2014. On their YouTube channel, they originally did comedy and challenge videos, then later switched to exploring abandoned or haunted places. This was until january of 2019, when the duo got arrested for tresspassing on a construction site. After this event they decided to switch their content to focus solely on haunted. in 2021 they did 25x25, but they're now currently back doing ghost videos.

Counterparts[]

Sam and Colby have created two characters named Samantha and Colleen. The characters are two ditsy and overdramatic girls who are trying to live together. On their vine, Sam and Colby have used Samantha and Colleen several times, but as a mom or girlfriend to one of them.

Their first Samantha and Colleen video was uploaded on April 2, 2015, and it was entitled, "Cooking W/ Samantha + Colleen". On September 28, 2015, they made a part two to their cooking video. In the video, they make grilled cheese and also attack each other several times. On November of 2015, their third video was not part of the series, but featured Samantha and Colleen. In it, they talked about how girls react to things versus how guys do.

On January 3, 2016, they added the video "Getting Ready For A Date" to their YouTube channel.

A month after that video, due to popular demand, they brought them back in the video, "The Yoga Challenge | Samantha and Colleen". There, they did some silly yoga poses in the video.

On September 20, 2017, almost two years after uploading their part two, Sam and Colby gathered their roommates and reacted to the videos.

On December 3, 2017, they brought the Samantha and Colleen series into their most successful series and made the video, "EXPLORING WITH SAMANTHA AND COLLEEN (scary)". Spoiler warning: They didn't really explore a place. Similar to their video named "OVERNIGHT IN A NEIGHBORHOOD MANSION! // 24 hour challenge", they explored their own house.

Arrest[]

On January 26, 2019, Sam and Colby were taken into custody for trespassing into an abandoned school that was under construction. Due to having to deal with legal complications, they hadn't been allowed to talk about the incident for the following months, but in the video called "the time we got caught... with Sam and Colby", uploaded on the "Ireland Boys Productions" youtube channel on the 19th of July 2019, the duo talked in detail about what occured on that day.

Career[]

YouTube is their career. They have made most of their money on YouTube at the price of entertaining the viewers. They do have a website for merch. Their merch is found in the description of most of their newer YouTube videos. Their websiteis X P L Rwhich they also have an app for.Their clothes are meant for exploration. Hence, XPLR. They had had a website for people struggling named theLife Project. Unfortunately, it has ended.They have a new website where it has started again, mainly for supporting children and having the goal of making them successful. The Life Project.

On April 6, 2019, they announced that they would not be making any content until further notice.

On May 1, 2019, they announced they were coming back to normal, not the same as before though. Each upload is part of a meaningful series like Stanley Hotel, Witches Forest and the Kansas Trip.
