Is Instagram collab available in the UK? ›

It is currently in testing mode within the UK, Ireland and India, and you can only collaborate with accounts from these countries. Collabs are available on any public account, and there are no limitations on how many followers you need to have.

Instagram has currently rolled a new collab feature in India and the UK. The feature is in its testing phase and has been limited to 2 countries as of now to see what kind of response it gets.

India is one of the first two countries where Instagram Collab is being tested and globally it is being tested with only a small percentage of Instagram users. So if you don't see this feature available to you right now you will have to wait till the testing is over and it is officially rolled out.

What is an Instagram Collab post. An Instagram Collab post is a single, co-created Feed Post or Reel that shows up on two profiles at the same time. One person makes the post and invites a second person to collaborate. Once they accept, the post and its comments, likes and shares are shared by both accounts.

Instagram has been working hard on new ways to monetize creator and business accounts. You may not have access to this feature yet, though. It's only been rolled out in the UK, Ireland, and India so far and you can only invite collaborators who are based in those countries, too.

Collab is open for all public accounts to use — whether you're Lil Nas X and the Teletubbies announcing their upcoming collab, an influencer posting brand partnerships, or just want to show off a hilarious Reel that you and your bestie made together.

The Instagram Collab feature is accessible for all users regardless of their follower count.

Firstly, make sure the Collab feature is available in your country. If it is, try updating your Instagram app on the App Store or Google Play Store. The feature will not be available to Instagram users who don't have the latest version.

The Invite Collaborator option is not showing on Instagram because you don't have a business account. Otherwise, your account is set to private or you've prevented others from tagging you. Along with having a business account, you need to complete your profile.

You can use Instagram Collabs to co-author content with other accounts. The public original author can tag another private or public account as a collaborator. Then, the other account can either accept or deny the request.
