Parking in Denver

With seven surface parking lots operated by Denver’s transportation department and metered street parking across the city, there’s ample space to park your rental car.
Parking can be paid for using credit, debit and smart cards, as well coins in some lots.
The Colorado Convention Center has an on-site parking garage, with 1,000 spaces for visitors accessing the center itself, the nearby Denver Performing Arts Center or businesses downtown.

Traffic in Denver

Denver’s morning traffic is usually at its height from 7am until 10am, while the evening rush hour lasts from 4pm to 7pm. I-25 and I-70 are usually the busiest routes, so traffic during peak times can usually be avoided by using alternative routes.

Main routes in Denver

Denver has three main interstate highways running through the city:

Interstate 25 (I-25) connects north to Buffalo, Wyoming, and south to El Paso, Texas.
Interstate 70 (I-70) begins west in Fishlake National Forest and ends in Baltimore.
Interstate 76 (I-76) starts in the center of the city and runs up to the Nebraska state line, northeast.

Denver to Aspen

Follow I-30 West and Colorado State Highway 82 West to the famous ski resort of Aspen, only a three-and-a-half-hour drive away from central Denver.

Denver to Kansas City

Travelling east out of Denver, the journey to Kansas City takes place entirely on I-70 East and will take you to the City of Fountains in just over eight and a half hours. You can drop off your rental car at one of our many locations in the Kansas City Metro Area.
